THE HISTORY OF #COFFICO
THE HISTORY OF #COFFICO
The year is 2015, the sun isn't shining and one #COFFIHEAD is out having a nippy walk around Cardiff Bay. As he stops and looks out over the docklands, desperate for a warming strong drink, a #COFFI-bulb moment happens! Shipping...CONTAINER...#COFFI...shop! Why not bring a 21st century twist to the historic docklands of Cardiff Bay?
So after lots of planning the first #COFFI Co opened it's doors that summer built from 3 Shipping Containers.
The store looked great when sat in it's new home in Cardiff Bay. So next we began investing our time and energy to create a creative urban interior, to give our #COFFIHEADS a home to shout about! Keeping with urban theme we used aged woods, metal piping and lots of exposed container services.
We loved all our customers, and the store was getting busier every day! As more and more Coffi was flowing, the #COFFIHEAD conecept was dreamed up, and as a tribute to our many cycling customers, our first branded cups where launched featuring our first #COFFIHEAD riding a bike!
More and more fun designs followed and before we knew it the store was full of #COFFIHEADS. The only thing we take seriously about ourselves is the quality of our #COFFI and food, the rest is just about having fun and enjoying the #COFFIHEAD way of life!
As the Cardiff Bay store grew from strength to strength, we knew Coffi Co was ready for it's next adventure.
We began searching and found the perfect second unit at the new development in Cathaysversity Students Union, and before we knew it we where bringing the #COFFIHEAD way of life to the people of CO-THAYS! After a month of hardwork and development, we created the perfect urban cosy home for the students to enjoy!
You can find our second store on Senghennydd Road near Cathays train station.
Andddddd back to the Bay!!! Time for expansion! We decided to expand the store by adding another 2 containers, to create Cardiff Bay's quirkiest #COFFI Lounge!
With it's log burning fire, big leather sofas and plenty of power sockets and work stations, we are proud to have created an awesome spot to relax and work in, with great #COFFI and creative surroundings.
Fast forward to 2017 and the launch of our third store, this time on Porthcawl seafront in the re-stored Jennings Building. An iconic building of the Porthcawl skyline, the Jennings building is bringing new life to the town and #COFFICO is delighted to be at the heart of the new development, bringing our #COFFI culture to the people of Porthcawl!
Work is well under way and we are hoping to be open in time for the summer!
